She stands as the third-generation torchbearer of her family’s orthodontic legacy, following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Luis Toro Albarracin, and her father, Luis Toro Lloveras.

The Toro name is synonymous with leadership in the field. Her father currently serves as the Speaker of the House of Delegates for the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), and both her predecessors served as presidents of the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists (MASO) and the Sociedad de Especialistas en Ortodoncia (SEO) en Puerto Rico. This deep heritage ensures that every patient at ShoreSmiles benefits from a tradition of clinical excellence passed down through decades.

A Journey Rooted in Passion

Dr. Toro’s academic journey is rooted in a commitment to being the best in her field. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 2015, she moved to the Pacific Northwest to attend the world-renowned University of Washington.

At UW, she earned her Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and a specialized certificate from the prestigious Postdoctoral Program in Orthodontics in 2018. Her expertise was further verified in February 2019, when she achieved Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), a voluntary credential held by only a fraction of practicing orthodontists.
